Our customers with early-stage Alzheimer's disease depend on us for more than a lift. In many cases, we may need to re-direct repetitive statements or offer familiar stimuli.
Among the easiest stimuli are songs from a familiar era or favorite music or artist. We use the time we share to enhance our rider's quality of life. They deserve it.
Music can also stimulate interesting conversations along the way. One rider recalled Nat King Cole's proud moment as a father, when his daughter Natalie was born. The rider knew about it because her father was the obstetrician for the singer. Paths cross in interesting ways. Music is an ice-breaker and a relationship-builder that endures across generations. That's why it's a big part of what we offer our clients.
